Training Timelines

career timelineMany of our students often wish to know how quickly they can complete their training. For the career students, we offer the following timelines. The full time durations assumes that the student is attending a lesson almost every day. The part-time duration assumes the student is attending a lesson 3 times per week.

Student Full Time Part Time
Private Pilot 5 Weeks 12 Weeks
Instrument Pilot 4 Weeks 12 Weeks
Multi-Engine Add-On 1 Week 2 Weeks
Commercial w/ Time Building 6 Weeks 12 Weeks

Students finish training within varying amounts of hours depending on their speed of learning and willingness to complete all homework assignments between flight lessons. Gulf Coast Aviation does not make a guarantee of graduation within the durations listed, but rather offers the above as estimates of completion for a dedicated student.

For the non-career students, our instructors are happy to discuss the training curriculum and setting a schedule that will meet your goals.
